CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – He’s the guy who makes sure that Canton city government avoids cyberattacks and other intrusions into computer and phone systems.
IT Director Patrick Barton says what he stresses to employees is the same advice you can use at home or in your own workplace:
If you don’t know who the email is from, don’t open it.
And to avoid robocalls, if you don’t know the person calling you, don’t answer the phone.
Another hint: the bad guys like to pull their tricks at the end of the workday when your guard might be down.
