An investigation is underway after a 40-year-old man was shot in the chest in North Philadelphia on Sunday evening, police said.
The shooting occurred at around 6:57 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, at the 2600 block of Ridge Drive, police said.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 40-year-old man shot in the chest, police said. He was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition.

NBC10 was on the scene to find the road was blocked off as police investigated the incident.

No arrests have been made, police said, but the investigation remains ongoing.

Police were also investigating a separate shooting in Philadelphia’s Logan section on Sunday night.
The shooting occurred at the 4500 block of N. 18th Street at around 7:09 p.m., police said.
When officers arrived, they found a 22-year-old man shot in the right forearm, police said. The unidentified man was taken to the hospital and was listed in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, and no motives have been determined.
